This Launching Gantry tool functions in lifting box girder-type bridge beams. This installation uses a high level of technology, so it can be an accelerator for the construction of infrastructure. The gantry launching tool used can directly lift several products at once so that the installation of precast concrete is effective.

Girder Installation with Launching Gantry Tool

The launching gantry has a part called a master winch which serves to lift the box girder. The master winch can move up-down, right-left, and front-back. The implementation of the box girder installation with the launching gantry tool is carried out on the pier head or pillar, by first launching the girder from span one to the intended span using a launching method that is driven using a hydraulic system.

After the girder arrives at the launching gantry position, then the master winch carrying the girder box moves transversely to the bearing pad where the girder will be placed. After the erection girder work or lifting on one span is completed, followed by a joint-segment, After all segments are connected, continue with the stressing work per span, then after the stressing of one span is completed, it is continued with the launching process to the next span.

WIKA Beton Launching GantryInstallation can serve beam (girder) installations with a span of 40m, a capacity of 650 tons (15 segmen@43.8 tons), and a span of 50m, a capacity of 830 tons ( 19 segments @ 43.68 tons).

One of WIKA Beton's projects that uses launching gantry installation services is the A.P. Pettarani Flyover in Makassar which is the first flyover in eastern Indonesia that uses the span-by-span method with 2 Launching Gantries with a span length of 50m and a capacity of 830 tons ( 19 segments @ 43.68 tons) This method has also previously been applied to the Semanggi Jakarta project and has proven to be effective and can reduce the risk of traffic disruptions that arise during the project work process.

The use of gantry launching is necessary to help project workers do work that cannot be done with human labor, for example in the process of building overpasses or bridges that require heavy equipment to transport the main components used in the work process to make it faster.
